Terms of Use

Effective 15 October 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Vector pvt ltd ("Vector", "we", "us") for using vectoredu.co.in and the Vector service. By joining the waitlist, creating an account or otherwise using Vector, you accept them. If you don't, please don't use Vector.

Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer are part of these terms.

Who can use Vector

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you use Vector for an organisation, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

Your account

  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
  • One person, one account. Don't share it, sell it or sign up for someone else.

What Vector is

Vector helps CS students find a direction: it asks onboarding questions, suggests a field that fits, gives you a roadmap from established public sources and a daily plan, and can check tasks against public work on GitHub.

Vector is in early development. Features will change, some will be removed, and things will sometimes break. We may change, pause or stop any part of the service, and we'll try to give notice of changes that matter to you.

Vector gives guidance, not guarantees. Read the Disclaimer for what that means in practice.

Fair use

Don't:

  • break the law, or use Vector to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
  • try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren't yours, or probe, scan or test Vector's security without our written permission;
  • interfere with the service, overload it, or get around rate limits or other protections;
  • scrape Vector or access it with bots, apart from search engines following robots.txt;
  • copy, resell or build a competing product from the service or its output;
  • reverse engineer Vector, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
  • send content that's unlawful, infringing, or contains malware;
  • try to make the AI produce harmful content, or pass off AI output as verified fact or your own professional advice;
  • connect a GitHub account that isn't yours, or claim work you didn't do.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Your content

"Your content" is what you put into Vector: answers, profile details, chat messages, project choices and the GitHub data you connect.

You keep ownership of it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display it, and to send it to our service providers, only to run and improve Vector for you as the Privacy Policy describes. The licence ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies in backups until they rotate out.

You confirm you have the right to give us that content.

AI-generated output

Field fit, plans, task checks and chat replies are generated by AI. You can use what Vector generates for you however you like, subject to these terms. Output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and similar output may be generated for other people. Check anything important before relying on it.

Third-party services and content

Vector links to and relies on things we don't control: GitHub, the public roadmaps and learning resources we point you to, and the providers that run the service. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we're not responsible for their content or availability.

Our property

Vector's software, design, name, logo and the text we write are ours or our licensors', and these terms give you no rights to them beyond using the service as intended. Roadmaps we cite belong to their authors.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them without owing you anything.

Price

Vector is free while it's in early development. If we introduce paid features we'll tell you the price and terms before you're charged anything, and nothing already free will start costing you without notice.

Ending your use

You can stop using Vector at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@vectoredu.co.in.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Vector. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and let you request a copy of your data.

The sections on your content, our property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes survive the end of this agreement.

Disclaimers

Vector is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that following its guidance will lead to any academic, career or financial outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, opportunities, data or goodwill;
  • our total liability for any claim about Vector is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₹1,000.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.

Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, or because of content you supplied, you'll cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, contact us and give us 30 days to try to sort it out informally. If that fails, the courts of Yamuna Nagar, India have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Vector changes. We'll update the date at the top, and for material changes we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Using Vector after that means you accept the new terms.

General

  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • Not enforcing a right straight away doesn't mean we've given it up.
  • You can't transfer these terms to anyone else. We can, as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of Vector.
  • These terms and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between us about Vector.
